Ubuntu repository and easy .deb installers are now available! Instructions are provided on the downloads page.
We’re still looking for more ways to make Mudlet easier to install/upgrade for you – so if you’re familiar with Mac, OpenSUSE, Fedora, *BSD packaging or anything else – let us know.
I’m not sure whether this is an error on my part or a bug in the package, but when I tried to install from the repository Mudlet’s output window became messy… Incoming text was recieved fine, but anything that was initiated by a command I sent wasn’t started on a new line and seemed to have a buffer before it would appear on screen. To explain this more thoroughly, if I typed in a command that resulted in a one-line output, I wouldn’t see the result until I either entered another command or recieved some other string from the mud.
I tried uninstalling then compiling the source, and this is not an issue… I run Ubuntu 8.1, and at the time of the download I should have more than covered all the dependencies.
err… correction: Ubuntu 8.10, my keyboard ate up a letter.
@Kalon: we fixed the issue, hang tight for an update.
All fixed now!
